Windows 10 comes with three useful features to help you to manage and arrange opened windows. These features are Aero Snap, Aero Peek and Aero Shake, all of them were available since Windows 7. The Snap feature allows you to work on two programs side-by-side by showing two windows side-by-side on the same screen. Today, I would like to cover Aero Peek. This feature allows users to quickly view the desktop by moving the mouse pointer to the bottom right corner of the taskbar. It is really useful if you need to view your desktop without minimizing all open applications. In Windows 10, this feature is disabled by default, so we will look, how to enable it back.

On the Taskbar, at the bottom – where you can turn Aero Peek on or off – where it says “Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop” – it’s grayed out and will not let me check it? The reason I looked for this is because every time I click on one of my jpg pics ….when it pops up, a message also pops up saying it’s changing the basic color scheme and that “The following program has performed an action that requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows 7 Basic:
Program: PictureViewer Application
Publisher: Apple Computer, Inc.
Then it says 'Windows will automatically change the color scheme back to Windows Aero when this program or other programs performing similar actions are no longer running.'
So, it’s saying that Aero is on my computer…why then when I went to the Taskbar to view “Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop”- it’s grayed out meaning it’s not active if the above message is stating that it is on? Thanks to anyone who can understand what I’m trying to say here. I really wanted to delete it but don’t know if I have it or not. Above message saying they’ll turn it on again…Taskbar has it has grayed out? Don’t even understand what it’s for in the first place or the need for it …*sigh*
